“Language is best taught when it is being used to transmit messages, not when it is explicitly taught for conscious learning.” , stated Stephen D. Krashen (1983). Based on this point of view, Wulin Elementary School has started conducting the EMI Bilingual Program since the 110 Academic Year. Through the cooperation among the FET and LETs, we are expecting to help the students enhance their international awareness and English speaking capabilities. The implemetation of the bilingual lessons will gradually assist students to apply what they have learned in the classroom. This can also allow them to gain better competitiveness for their upcoming future.

本校 110學年度開始實施雙語創新學校EMI計畫,期望透過自然融入的語言使用方式,提昇學生英語學習興趣及動力,由1-4年級的專長科任教師與外師共同備課,進行生活、藝文及健體課程雙語教學。

課程中鼓勵學生運用觀察、體驗、參與等方式探索其生活環境,中、外師運用豐富的肢體語言、實物展示、影片音檔等,引導學生藉由探究、閱讀與實作等多元方式,理解課程的內容,將其所學應用於日常生活,促使學生自然而然的習得英語及溝通的方式。
